Mirosoft Visual Basic

Just had a new security update. I am suing XP Home and office 2003. Now I am
getting an error when I open excel.
Microsoft Visual Basic
Run-time error-2147467259(80004005)
Method Add of object
"Command BAR Controls" failed

Any help or suggestion? Do I need a patch?

One of the updates posted on the Microsoft download site yesterday was a
security update for Visual basic 6. It is not automatically installed when
you go to run Automatic Updates. Look for VB6-KB924053-x86.exe

Don't really know if that fixes your problem - just thought I'd mention
there was an update.

Thanks for the suggestion. I got some help earlier on. When Excel was
loading and the error appeared I Ctrl+Alt+Delete. It brought up the task
manager. I hit end task. It closed the program. I restarted excel and no
more error message. I think there was a file ad-in running at the same time
that was causing the problem. When excel came up it prompted me to disable
an ad-in program and suggested I could enable it later on.
