How can I restore my mircosoft works program. Some how I
lost this while restoring the system back to the orignal
settings

Are you using a OEM CD or a retail XP CD?
Works is a separate program not actually included with XP. If it's a Retail
CD then you need your Works CD. If it's OEM then you should also have a disk
labelled something similar to "programs already installed on your computer"
or something to that affect. That CD should contain Works.
