Minolta Dimage 1.1.5 scans blanks

I've got a Minolta Scan Multi. I just downloaded and installed version
1.1.5 of their scanning software, and now I get white blanks rather
than previews or scans. I can retreat to previous versions and see
scans as expected.

Any ideas what is causing this?

Did you install with the scanner disconnected/turned off?
