Is there a switch to open outlook minimized?

I am using 2000 but will be upgrading to 2002 or 2003 soon.

This is a shortcut property not a command line switch. Rightclick a shortcut
to Outlook-> Properties-> tab Shortcut-> field Run:
Note that when you closed Outlook maximized it won't work. It only works
when you closed Outlook in a Normal or Minimized window state.

To minimize Outlook to the Notification Area (System Tray);

You will be able to minimize to Tray when you upgrade
to Outlook 2002 or 2003.
