Minimize Windows

Does anyone know of any utility that will let me manage my windows better?
What I am looking for is something that I can say I want this window in the
upper left corner (If the screen was divided into 4 quarters) or if I had the
screen divided into halves, say send this window to the left half.

Any help would be great. THANKS,

If you have an NVidia video card, the NVidia Settings manager lets you
divide the screen into a grid, and also allows multiple desktops. (I think
ATI has something similar as well?)
