I had previously researched this issue and found the program you linked to.
I decided not to install it just because I prefer not to run a lot of 3rd
party software on my machine. I understand it will allow Windows Mail to
minimize to the system tray just like I would like it to, but my issue is why
didn't Microsoft make this a built-in feature for Mail? It was availible on
previous versions of Microsoft Outlook, why was it nixed from the program? I
just never found a reasonable explanation for it so I thought I would throw
it up on a Microsoft message board.
Windows Mail was not developed from Outlook, it was developed
from Outlook Express (OE). As far as I know, OE never had the
'minimize-to-tray' feature either.
The newer Windows Live Mail has that feature built in.
