Minimize button in quick launch toolbar missing. How can
I get this button back in the quick launch toolbar?

Do a search on "Show Desktop", you may find a copy of it in C:\windows or
C:\windows\system32

If not then you can make a new copy

Create a new text document, open it in notepad and paste in the following

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

Then save it and rename the file as Show Desktop.scf

Copy it into the
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Quick Launch
Folder

I see that you've already gotten an answer to the above. I just
wanted to add that you can do the same with a keyboard shortcut,
WindowsKey-M or WIndowsKey-D.

(The Show Desktop SCF file should now be available)
