Minimize and maximize buttons

when I open word, I have the three usual buttons on the top Min, Max. close.
However, under that on the file etc. line I only have a X to close? Where is
the setting to display the other two features to minimize and maximize each
document like I have in excel? I have Office 2000 with xp sp2..thank You

The buttons on the window are the buttons for the document because each
document is displayed in its own window. See

thank you--like the old way better--who ever requested this never toggled
between documents..
