As of late , probably a month or more now. My computer
has been turning it self on. That is at night before I go
to bed I power down my computer, by turning it off in the
usual fasion. In the morning when i go into my office ,
my computer is on and powered up. I have checked every
setting I can think of and have found nothing that would
make it turn it self on. Any ideas or suggestions would
be great.

Oh I should mention I have ZERO scheduled tasks set up
on the computer, so its not turning it self on due to a
scheduled task

Thanks in advance

Geoff of Evanston:
Check your computer BIOS settings for Wake On LAN or Wake On Modem settings.
Disable them. Refer to the documentation for your BIOS for details on how to
access, modify and save these settings.

It's a long shot, but ... maybe the building your office is in has been
experiencing power outages.
Whenever we have a power outage and the power returns, my computer switches
itself on, even if it was switched off when the outage occurred.
This has happened several times with me. Even a few nights in a row, at one
point -- because, frekily enough, the outages occurred that way.

Is it happening regularly? Has anyone else in the building experienced
similar problems or observed power outages?
