Millenium to XP file transfer

My Dad has just got a new computer with XP pro, his old PC's os is Millenium. I was planning on transferring his personal files from the Millenium hard drive to the xp hard drive by slaving in the millenium hard drive and transferring the files manually. Does anyone know if this would cause any kind of conflict because of the two different os's? I'm pretty sure the computer will boot using xp since that is the boot disk, but will xp still recognise the millenium files and access the slave hard drive ok

Yes, the XP may add the ME drive as a second OS.

In any case, by adding the Me drive to the XP computer, you will be able to
view the Me drive/files and copy any that you want.
