Migration to Active Directory

Brian Williams

If I add 2003 member servers to an NT 4.0 domain
controller. Will I have any problems when I migrate the
NT 4.0 domain structure to active directory structure with
the current 2003 member servers?

You should not have any problems as long as the 2003 machine is only
a member server. Windows Server 2003 can be a member server in a
NT4, Win2K or Win2K3 domain. If you decide to promote the 2003
server to a domain controller after the upgrade it will change the
domain to a Windows 2003 domain.
