Migration from Windows 2000 AD to Windows 2003 AD

Hi,

Can advise what is the best method to migrate Windows 2000 AD to Windows
2003 AD and at the same time change to new hardware.

Would suggest that you install 2000 in the new box, dcpromo it, then move all
the FSMO roles to it.

Then just follow the standard method for upgrading from 2000 to 2003.

Hi Quinch,

Is there any other way, which can retain the hostname and ip address,
because i have a lot of services using it.

Further to add on:
It is possible to dcpromo on the new box (windows 2003), become additional
DC for an exisiting domain. Then move all the FSMO role to the nex box. Is it
possible for this method.
