On Win2000 Professional workstations, you can replace the specific driver
for the Master IDE Controller with the generic driver while still on the old
hardware. When you move your OS to the new hardware, Plug and Play
***should*** take care of the rest.
On a server this process is not recommended. You should rebuild it instead.
