Microtek 6800 How Do You Clean the Glass

There are bits of styrofoam and dust on the inside of the glass. How do you
get at that? I can't see how to open the case to clean it out.

Hello,

Try taking off the top of the lid. Between the two hindges where the
scanner lid fits should be a hole. Place a pencil eraser or something
similiar inside and it will "unlock" the scanner top. You will then
be able to remove the top by pulling backward. Now you can clean the
glass. Hope that helps!
 
Thanks Jeff, but they must have changed their method. There are 2 screws in
the slots where the hinges on the upper lid fits into.

Got it done.
