How do I open a Microtek 6800 to clean the glass?

I wish to clean the underside of the glass in my Microtek Scanmaker
6800, but can't work out how to open it up.

Can anyone help?

I have a Microtek ScanMaker 1640XL which I can guess how to open up but
I would prefer to have some sort of instructions or diagram so I do not
mess it up.
Is there a disassembly or exploded view of Microtek scanners available
somewhere on-line?

Got it! Found two screws buried deep inside the hood hinges. The rest is
held in place by tabs in plastic slots.

How do I open a Microtek 6100 Pro?

Did you ever resovle this?
I have the same problem with my 6100 Pro - can't see spending $40 every time the glass needs cleaning...
