Microsoft's Otical USB Mouse

H

hjgilder

I recently purchased a Dell 2400 computer with Windows XP.
The above mouse I had on an older Deel computer.
The two top right and left clickers and the the knob work
perfectly. The problem is that I can't get the right and
left clicker to work. Is there any information out there
that explains how these side clickers work and how you
install them?
The complete specifications for my mouse is as follows:
"Microsoft Optical USB and PS/2 Compatible Pin X05-48976
Product ID 52195-576-3773186-000"

If no one can help me can you suggest who I should contact
at Microsoft?

Call Bill Gates. He is responsible. Have you installed the
Intellipoint driver that came with the mouse? If this is the Explorer
version with the four buttons and the wheel with button, it might need
the actual driver, which I think was Intellipoint 4.2. Intellipoint 5
is on the Microsoft site, but removes support for the wheel button (that
would be the fifth button).
