Does anyone happen to know when Microsoft Word 8.0 went on sale to the
public?
 
Office 97 (v8) was launched on
Thursday, January 16, 1997

FrontPage97 and Publisher97 launched
separately in October 1996.

Really appreciate you getting back to me with a response. Is Microsoft Word
8.0 for Macintosh or Windows? I would say Mac. Please verify? Thanks.
 
MS Word version 8 (file format)was part of MS Office 97
for Windows and MS Office 98 on the Mac.
