Microsoft Word 2002 goes in and out of busy mode continually when open (can
be typing of searching through Options) slowing down all responses to key
strokes or mouse clicks.

Do you work with pretty big files? Try Normal view instead of Print
view. (At least that keeps it from trying to repaginate after every
operation.)

Thanks for the reply. Don't really work with big files...but tried normal vs
Print view but the problem remains. Updated graphic driver, print drivers,
USB drivers, killed all processes running in Task Manager, disconnected
Network, changed default printers...i just don't know what else to try.
