Microsoft Windows Update

I am having a problem with 2 updates:
1. KB828750 Oct 2003
2. Security Update 330994 Apr 2003

Windows Update tells me that I need to download and
install these two critical updates. I do everything that
it tells me to do and they download and install. I get
the confirmation notice that they installed. I restart my
computer and run Windows Update again. It tells me that I
need to download and install the same 2 critical updates
again. I have done this 3 times with the same results.

Can you help me solve this problem so that I can get these
2 critical updates installed on my computer?

Reboot the machine into safe mode, rename the windows\system32\catroot2
folder and then boot normally and download and reinstall the updates.
