Microsoft Windows Network missing

My daughter's computer cannot see the other machines on
my home network. When I tried to look at "Entire
Network", I discovered that the "Microsoft Windows
Network" component is missing ("Microsoft terminal
Services" and "Web Client Network" are still there).

Does anyone know how I can re-install "Microsoft Windows
Network"? Or which file might be missing?

"View Workgroup Computers" does not work either.

When you look at the properties for your network connection, is Client For
Microsoft Network listed and checked?
