I assume that you mean you installed the AutoCAD program, not that you
downloaded it. You should contact the AutoCAD program's tech support to
solve this issue with their software.

You will likely need to install the AutoCAD program, instead of just
downloading a copy of it.

Don't Panic!
I apologize. I installed it sucessfully.

If the AutoCAD program was installed succesfully, won't this be a Microsoft
problem?
Thanks

In that case contact the AutoCAD tech support to find out why their
program is causing this error to happen.

No. If the AutoCAD program was installed and doesn't run correctly, 1) it
isn't installed successfully; and 2) something in this program isn't
working with the operating system and you need to find out what that is.
This is up to the makers of the program since they know how their software
is coded and what it requires, not the operating system makers.

No, not necessarily. The installer is usually totally separate from the
application, and an install routine may run perfectly while the application
itself craters.

On the other hand, the installer may not check properly for the OS version
(particulary if it's an older version and it does a "later than" OS check),
and consequently doesn't halt for not-known-at-the-time compatibility
problems.

If you're having problems with an Autocad app, the first place you should
check is with Autocad support; you're paying enough for that. And
compatibility is the first item to check, with both your OS version and your
hardware and drivers.

Try starting here, entering the product name and then going to the
knowledgebase:
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=9339357

Otherwise, it's hard to tell what is happening without any idea of what
Autocad product you're trying to use.
