Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error

Help would be so appreciated. I have been trying for a week to find the answer.
This just started April 1st. I have XP Professional and Canon Pixma MP500
printer.
After I print I receive this error message:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
Program:C:\Windows\System 32|rundll32.exe
R6030
CRT not initialized
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer 3 times and that did not
work. I am not computer literate but I have been searching for a fix for a
week and have never found this error message in my search.

Hi Pat,
This error refer to a linker in the Printer or (A) Application starting on
the start up or with the printer application and not having the right
switch/link in somewhere in the design of the software or the parser!
Try to download the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime and reboot your machine.
If you aren't having the printer driver/software installed already please
pay a visit to the printer manufacturer website and download the latest
driver for it.


Download the VC6RedistSetup_enu.exe package now.

Nass, Thank you so much!!! I tried the Microsoft 2005 download, I removed the current one and reinstalled. I have tried printing several pages and so far no more runtime errors have popped up. I was afraid to try your other suggestion of the download VC6RedistSetup, I'm not very brave when it comes to doing somethings, I tried to read what it said it was all about but it was too tech for me.
