Microsoft virtual machine missing XP Security

Some web pages do not fully dosplay.
On Internet Options, there are no "Microsoft VM" custom
settings on this machine. What gives? Is there a way to
get it turned on or does it need to be installed?
running XP Pro and IE 6.0

So, you are saying go to the Windows site and download IE
5.0 on top of the 6.0 already installed, then go back to
the same website and upgrade to 6.0 ?

Microsoft is injoined from distributing the Java VM.
If you already have it installed, before the injunction,
then you can get the latest service for it from Microsoft.
You might want to consider downloading and installing
the Sun Java VM.
