What is "Microsoft 7.0?" Why did you think that files created by this
mystery application would be compatible with Word?

I'm guessing that he is referring to Microsoft Word version 7.0. Would this
be word 95? 97? Could you tell us? We have to know what version you've
got so we can help you. I don't think there was one that was actually
referred to as "7.0". My guess will be Word 95, but I don't know. Does
anyone else know?

From another post James means Microsoft Works 7.0

Hope this helps.
