Microsoft Updates Break Printers (LaserJets and Avery Label)

Justin

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but after last
Tuesday's patches we have been having strange printer problems. About 6
avery personal label printers no longer function correctly, and so far
two different models of HP LaserJet printer are not operating correctly.
Has anyone else noticed printers breaking in the past week or so?

Our Avery printers do not consistently print labels. We can get them to
print one or two, but not every single time we hit print. The laserjets
seem like they are attempting to duplex, but printing everything on the
front side of the page.

What model of LaserJets? What updates were installed?

USB connected HP PSC inkjet here. No apparent problems. Last 9 updates on
my PC were on Feb 16th per add/remove programs. The only thing not default
I use is using reverse order of pages normally speaking. SCSI connected
scanner seems okay as well. I have NOT installed IE 7.

You may be correct in the association though. Another poster noted that
about some recent XP update and operation of his HP printer. He got a fix
from the HP website.
