Microsoft Update

I have upgraded from the Widows Update web page to the Microsoft version and
installed the AciveX has requestd but it just keeps scanning (the green bar
running across the page) but nothing happens and it just keeps running.

Any ideas why this should happen, thanks.

How long have you waited? The process can take qite a while.

You didn't wait long enough. Sometimes with "net congestion", it
takes a long time before your computer gets scanned. Wait until
the bloody thing quits its scan. If it goes over 15 minutes THEN
you will know that there are problems.
