Microsoft Update changed Quicklaunch icons

I use XP Pro and updated Windows Update to Microsoft Update. It seems to
work fine, but changed all the icons on my Quicklaunch Bar and I'm not sure
how to restore them.
Should I remove the update and start over again?

Changed them to what?

Thank you for your interest.
Address Book was changed to a "coffee mug"; desktop was changed to
"notepad"; media player icon was changed to "solitare"; IE was changed to a
"heart", etc.
I can find no other issues, but this one has me stumped!

Have you tried removing Quick Launch and then putting it back?

Simple! I had restarted, but hadn't considered closing and reopening Quick
Launch. Thank you very, very much.
