Microsoft Service Pack 1

While installing the Service pack, I get a message that
says it is unable to finish installing because of a
unverified Windows Logo. Any idea how this can be
resolved. This is an Hewlett Packard Computer running
Windows XP.(barely 6 mos old)

Hi,

Open Windows Explorer to C:\Windows\system32, right-click/rename the
catroot2 folder to catold. Then retry the SP1 installation. When finished,
there will be a new catroot2 folder and you can safely delete the old
renamed one.
