Microsoft picture and faxviewer- where is it in xp

MS picture and fax viewer automatically runs from the mypictures folder
however lets say one wants to open the program and then open files from
within the program-- I just got xp and cannot find the link or the root path
to the program so the I can set certain files types to open in whith MS pic
and fax viewer.

Please help someone out there.
 
If you click on an image file you should get the option to open it in the
Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Or you can right click the file and choose
how you want those file types to open.
