For the past two days, my emails sit in the outbox. I have tried restarting
the computer and sending them individually. I deleted them all and started
over. This is just a new thing and nothing has been done to change anything
on the computer as far as I know. I can't find the answer with Microsoft. I
think it is too simple of a problem for them to address. (But not to me!)
Any suggestions?

Hello Lynne.
I hope that I can help you with this.
Check your outgoing server settings. (SMTP). If that isn't set corretly then
your mail will not go out.
In Outlook 2003- 2007 go to:
1. Tools/ account settings.
2. click onto the account name and select repair above your account name
([email protected] = account name).
3. You will see your email account there as well as password. Below place a
check in the box that says "Manually Configure server settings" (etc). and
click NEXT.
4. To check your SMTP settings go online and look up your ISP (internet
service provider) and seek the POP setting for that company. It will provide
you with all the information you'll need for configuring your pop and smtp
settings.
5. Now go to MORE SETTINGS button.
6. Click the OUTGOING SERVER tab
7. Place a check mark in " my outgoing server (smtp) requires authentication"
8. Place a tick in the space that says " log on using" and type your email
and password.
9. now move the tick mark to the above item saying" Use The same setrtings
as my incoming mail server.
Hit ok and close
Now select Next then finish.
I HOPE this will fix your issue.

This is just a new thing and nothing has been done to change anything
on the computer as far as I know.

Do you have your antivirus program integrated with Outlook and did you allow
that AV program to update itself? Did you allow any other automatic
updates? Have you reexamined your SMTP settings to make sure they are still
correct?

I bet that when you look in the outbox that the date is set to 'none'.

I've seen this with mine but don't ask me how it got fixed. I think I opened
the message and made a change and then resent it.
