Microsoft Outlook not responding problem

I am awaiting a crucial email from one of my profs and of
course my computer has to give me problems. Whenever I
open microsoft outlook, it immediately freezes. It worked
fine when i sent him the email and when i tried to check
for a response, it started this. I have tried restarting
and scanning my system and nothing helps. I dont know what
to do. Please help me.

You don't mention your version of outlook.
For OL 2000, try going to Start > Run and typing
outlook.exe /safe
