Microsoft Outlook Email

Why does Outlook end when not in use & the desktop appears? After I use
email & leave my computer for awhile, I come back to just the desktop.
Outlook shuts itself down...why and how do I keep it up & running?

Outlook doesn't or at least shouldn't do this.
If you need help troubleshooting this issue, you'll need to provide a whole
lot more info.
The Event Viewer is a good place to start with analyzing your issue.
