Microsoft Outlook 2000 Statioonery and Signature Problems

I just switched from Outlook Express to Microsoft Outlook
2000 so I can access a calendar. I have discovered that
when I go into Tools, Mail Format, the Stationery and
Fonts and Signature buttons are grayed out so I cannot
pick my stationery and cannot make a signature block.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
