Now that Microsoft has released the beta to the public, can anyone tells us
what's new for PowerPoint. Hopefully their is a method to write PowerPoint
presentations to CD.

Or do you mean the "pack and go" facility? I believe it is still there in the
2007 version of Powerpoint.

No, there's no "Paack & Go" in PowerPoint 2007. Already in version 2003 it
was replaced by "Package for CD", which is much more useful than the old
P&G, because it repairs links, includes the Viewer and an autorun file.
This will of course be continued into 2007.

Best regards,
Ute

Hi Bobby,

Nope, not in there. PPT 2007 does not have a built-in movie creator. I
think there are 3rd party programs that provide such functionality, but
I don't know if they write a Video DVD.

That's unfortunate. Apparently Microsoft isn't much interested in the
comments made my people on this forum over the years.

The people in charge of PowerPoint get it, you can take that to the bank.

But PowerPoint isn't the only program that MS has to allocate resources to; in
the overall scheme of things, it's a fairly minor one. The PPT team can't
always do what they, you, and we know would be a big hit with PPT users, much
as they'd like to.
