Microsoft Office 2007-Picture Styles

I love the "Picture Styles" feature in Word 07. However sometimes it's there
and sometimes it's not. How can I access this feature when it refuses to
appear. Sometimes I can open a picture and click on it and the Picture Styles
menu appears and sometimes it doesn't. Please Help! The only thing I have
been able to determine is that if I open a new document and then open a
picture it is back. Is there some sort of limit to the number of times you
can use this feature in a document?

I'm not sure the exact issue you are encountering, either a missing Picture
Style gallery or you can't find the contextual Picture Tools.

For a missing Picture Style gallery, if you are working in Compatibility
Mode then the contextual Picture Tools will display only those commands
which are compatible with previous versions of Word and the Picture Styles
gallery will not be present.

If you aren't seeing the contextual Picture tools then when it doesn't
appear, take a look at the title bar. You should still see the Picture Tools
flag appear even if it isn't active. Click the flag or the contextual Format
tab to activate it. If this is the case then the reason it doesn't always
activate when you click an image is if you navigated to another tab prior to
deselecting the image. For example, if you have the image selected and then
click the Home tab then Word will maintain the active tab when you click the
image again. But if you deselect the image before clicking on another tab,
the next time you click the image the contextual tab will activate. This
behavior is due to feedback received during the beta. The majority didn't
want a contextual tab to automatically appear each time they clicked an
object if they previously moved away from the contextual tab. Now, if when
you click an image you always want the Picture Tools to activate then
double-click the image instead of single-clicking it.
