Same problem here, and with no solution available, I switched back to good
old XP prof.

I'm occasionally amazed at what does, and doesn't, work. I'm running MS
Money 2 (1991/2) fine under Vista Ultimate. The only annoyance is that it
tries to access my A: and B: drives before it starts up. Doesn't get upset
when there are no disks there, but it does take a minute for it to time out
on them.

Odd! I'm running Money 2005 with no problems on Ultimate. What errors is
Money giving when you try to run it?

have you tried, compatibility mode or run as administrator.
since you provide no problem description or error message it is hard to provide help.

The 2006 version works fine for me (although it is the Canadian version). I
don't remember needing to do anything special (like compatibility mode).
Perhaps you should consider moving to Canada.

I am a UK user of Money V.12 with Vista Home Premium. My problem is that when
I download from my financial institutions, the Bank entries show as being
available to accept into the relevant account, but then dont show and it is
not possible to make manual entries.
Money 2007 isnt yet available here so if I import one, will it support
sterling.

Thanks for any help you can give.

MS Money and Quicken have always had to be specifically written for the
country in which they are sold.. a version bought in the US will not convert
to UK finance type..

For Limey user.

That reminds me of a similar problem, which was fixed
by changing security settings (which ?) in Internet Explorer
to "Moyen" (Low Average(?) or Medium(?) Low in english).

Money 2005 is the latest UK version.
Don't think there is to be a UK 2007.
Don't think UK banks want to cooperate (possibly for security reasons)
(Will there be any more UK versions at all? Who knows)

I am running Money 2005 on Vista Ultimate x64.
(If you are migrating from XP to Vista with an existing account you need to
install Money 2005 with a new dummy account. Then sit there doing nothing
for a couple of minutes till the program asks to be updated. When it has
been updated, delete the dummy account and replace with the real one. If you
don't do this the program will not recognise the existing account as valid.
Its a bit messy but it works !)

Personally I don't download statements directly into money, so 2005 version
does everything I need
I print off from Online Banking access and manually reconcile.

Money 2006 works has worked fine here in Vista since Money 2006 was
released. I did a clean install of Vista and then installed Money 2006.
I restored my data from a Money backup I had either from an XP or a
Vista install of Money 2006. There is also a money newsgroup that may
provide further help if you need it.

Hi, Cathy.

You are posting in some anonymous "forum" somewhere that is simply using the
"vBulletin USENET gateway" to forward your question to the Microsoft public
newsgroups on Usenet. And then forwarding my response back to that forum.
You don't need that forum. You can "cut out the middleman" and post
directly using any newsreader, such as Windows Mail, which is built into
Vista, or the newer Windows Live Mail, which you can download for free from:
http://download.live.com/

Just click here:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.general

That will set up your News Account and bring you to the Vista newsgroup.
Better yet for your question, as Mike Torello suggested, click here:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.general

That will take you to the Money newsgroup where the Microsoft Money experts
hang out.
