Microsoft Money 2005 problems!

I've been using this program for years and all of a sudden every time I try
to enter something new, it locks up and seems to be "processing" forever
until I need to hit control, alt, delete to CLOSE the program.

Any suggestions? Has anyone else started having problems with this program
lately?

Thanks -- all suggestions welcome as I do not wish to purchase an Upgrade.
