After installing and re-installing the drivers for this
keyboard I stil get an error message when I try to put my
machine into sleep mode. The message indicates that a
devise driver for the keyboard is preventing sleep mode.
Any thougts about correcting this situation?

It may be that the USB port driver or your system does not support sleep
properly. If so and you went into sleep, the wireless keboard and and mouse
would stop working, and you might not be able to return from sleep.

Hello Joe,

I have a similar problem with my Medion 6100 laptop. It
does not have a standby or hibernate button; I enter
standby by going through the Win Xp Start - Shutdown -
standby option on screen. Wake up is by pushing the power
button.

Since installing XP SP2, if I try to enter standby I get
the message that the EnE Keyboard KB-3886 driver is
preventing the system from entering standby.

My guess is because XP SP2 updated the keyboard driver so
that the system should anticipate a response from the
keyboard to enter or exit standby....however my keyboard
does not support this, so I guess that's where my problem
might be.

I would like someone, preferably a MVP to assess my
thoughts and, if this is my problem, is it possible to
use the "roll back device driver" for the keyboard to
correct this problem? I'm a little afraid to go changing
the keyboard driver without confidence as I don't want to
end up with a system that doesn't work at all!

I just solved this problem on my computer - if you have
Adobe Type Manager installed, this can casue problems. I
uninstalled ATM and no more problems.
