Microsoft IE problems

Help! Something or someone has taken over my Internet
access. All of a sudden I am getting a million popup
ads. I found some adware on my machine and deleted it,
but things are getting worse. Now when I try to scroll
down a page online, it gets stuck then starts again. Some
of my favorite bookmarks won't access the page I want.
Even if I type in the URL, I can't get to that favorite
site. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. XP is my operating system.
Also, I can't restore to an earlier day. I am afraid I am
going to have to wipe my computer and start fresh. Can
anyone help me?

You need to install and run Ad-Aware and
SpywareGuard...both are free and will help you keep
spyware and hijackers off your machine.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
