"microsoft frontpage", "xerox" folders

I can't delete these folders from the command prompt, in safe mode, or by any
other means that I've tried. I know for a fact that I haven't installed any
Xerox products on my computer, and I'm pretty sure I never installed
Frontpage. The names are all in lowercase, and the file size is 0 bytes. When
I try to delete "xerox", I get the message "Cannot delete nwwia: It is being
used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the
file and try again." I get the same message with "microsoft frontpage", but
with "bin" instead of "nwwia". Please help!

They are "protected" system folders and therefore can not be deleted.

They are considered system folders, and are created by the original
installation and cannot be deleted.

browsing is now built into Windows, you can view a FP enabled site that you
have logon credentials for using explorer. It's also likely to do with the
"publish to web" component.

documentation on the KB to explain it, which only encourages attempts to

The folder is part of the management of the O/S, and is not the FrontPage
program.
