I find it really stupid that haveing bought a force feed
back wheel a couple of years ago (it didnt come cheap),
that when u upgrade my os from windows 98 to XP Pro the
all seeing all doing all reliable os system out there also
i might add created by micorsoft the manufactores of my
force wheel to try and install the drivers to get a
message saying this software/hardware is NOT compatable.
now tell me how stupid that is.

Its about time i feel that microsoft got its thumb from up
its rear on issues like this and think of its customers
because with out us their customers they would be nothing.

I like microsoft products but to spedn £80 UK on a
steering wheel as i like to also play driving sims in
spare time as a relaxment and then to spend another £750
on the latest suposidly all doing opperating system to
find i either have to think of my wheel an £80 wasted or
do i think of the $750 wasted. Its not on in my oppionin

I suppose because i post my frustrations out here this
message will get deleted.

If anyone out there can help that would be great talking
to microsoft and trying on this issue to get information
rom them is like trying to get blood from a stone.

What model?
Have you checked for the latest drivers?
What does the website say about compatibility.

Since you verified your computer was ready for Windows XP before you
started, how did you miss those two items:

The Force Feedback Wheel is perfectly compatible with XP. Simply connect the
Wheel to the USB port of the computer, go to the Control Panel and click on
Game Controllers. Use AutoDetect.

Voila, drivers!

You may need to select Add, then Microsoft SideWinder (Auto Detect), but
Cari is right, it is entirely compatible with XP ;)
