'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error

When one of our users tries to synch in Outlook he receives the
following error message:

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error (0x00040820) : 'Errors
in
background synchronization. In most cases, further information is
available
in a synchronization log in the Deleted Items folder.


The problem is when I go to his deleted items folder the log file is
not there. Any help on this issue would be greatly apprecaited.

try the sync folder - look on the folder list view to see all the folders in
it - but you'll need to log directly into the mailbox to see all the mail in
all folders (not all sync with an ost).
