microsoft Excel will not allow me to type anything in the cells

I have previously written in this page, now after i have reopened it to edit
it, it will not allow me to write anything in any of the cells,. Even on a
new page it will not allow me to do anything.

Check Tools>protection and see if the sheet has become Protected.
