I have 40 forms that I need to fill in and generate reports. I don't want
to use access for this purpose, neither I want to use PHP programming. I am
wondering whether or not it is possible to use excel as an entry form and
access database as a data recording unit. Plz. Suggest

Regards
Sam.

I guess if you don't want any kind of data validation, then Excel
would work. Completely ass-backwards, but it's a free country. Knock
yourself out.

Nah.. Not the answer I'm luking 4.

Cheers.

And why are you thinking that using Excel forms to store data into an Access
database will be simpler than simply directly using Access forms or if is
there any other particular reason?

Just trying new things n xploring new techniques. Excel is easy to use for
most of the people that's why. Anyway, thanx for the responses. Let me
search the net n c whether it's possible or not.

Cheers.

The first responder already answered, the answer is yes.

Just like the question of whether you can hammer a nail with a wrench. The
answer is yes,.....not a new idea, not a good idea.

An Access form would address user familiarity issues much better than a
spreadsheet.
