One of our vendors uses a decrypter application that
requires a MS-DOS filename. Since the update from
Windows '98 to XP it doesn't give me the MS-DOS filename
(ie. subset~1.1)anymore? Can you tell me how can I get
the MS-DOS filename using XP. Thanks,

In a command prompt type

dir /x

This will list the 8.3 name of the files
