Had the original poster asked how to remove unwanted tool bars, I would
have had no problem and would have been one of many providing the answer
to the question.

Instead, he chose to say, "Microsoft decides how i will be using
valuable screen real estate", which is pure BS.

Oh, you want to discuss pure bullshit. Like you being a jerk using PNP
to post to a newsgroup? How deliciously stupid.

ROTFLMAO!
Now, as for your statement that I make decisions for this newsgroup, you
have shown a complete lack of understanding as to how newsgroups work.
I have never made any statement that indicates my opinion is anyone's
but my own.

Now, run along. You've solved absolutely nothing.

The job of grand pontificator is already taken. Justin isn't about to
give up his title to you bub, not even if you beg.

I did a vertical measurement of the used area of the screen.
Then I did another vertical measurement not including the toot and
task bars.
That leaves the area of the screen IE displays the content

I know the vast majority of MVPs that post here are as dumb as a stump
but geez, how can you pretend to know how much room gets taken up by
tool bars and other cluter if you don't know and didn't ask the
physical size of the OP's monitor and resolution he's running at?

This newsgroup should be renamed Comedy Central. So much lame
information it is if anything entertaining to read the "wise" comments
from MVPs. LOL!

And apparently you missed this from the OPs post:
"6 inches high, on a 17"

But then selective reading in not foreign to you when you dislike the
poster or post.
No matter how it is read whether a 17" monitor or 17" height usable
screen, the OP has less than necessary and should be easily remedied
as previously stated by multiple posts.

"dumb as a stump"
As has been said about you before, you seem incapable of communicating
to those you disagree without feeling the need to prop your views with
pointless insults.
To bad you are so insecure you can not let your facts stand on their
own.
Perhaps you should let others post your views, they are here and they
also lack your insecurity since they do not need to insult as you
need.

It is also noted, you posted NOTHING of substance in this thread.
Apparently you lack the knowledge so you feel the need to post all you
can, insults.

And apparently you missed this from the OPs post:

Cut the crap. You blew it, now you're trying to make excuses. I see
you flapping your gums constantly and rarely if ever making any useful
comments. You kiss Microsoft's butt so often you must buy knee pads by
the case.

WRONG yet AGAIN.
I gave answers that can help the OP see what I see while you did all
you were capable-INSULTS as usual, NOTHING more.

You obviously have NOTHING of value to contribute to this thread.
You should read this thread again, probably for the first time.

You should grow up. That too much to expect?

And yet I am contributing while you do all you are capable, throwing
insults.

Good by Adam.
Post back only to feed your ego as it probably needs the last post.

WRONG yet AGAIN.

I see you want to play games. Ok, fine lets play.

You claim your answer helped. Well ok, let's look at what you said and
see how totally wrong you were... which is typical of MVP advice.

You said:

"I have about 6.5" out of a height of about 9.
In any case, Microsoft or the OEM set the defaults, after all
something needs to be set."

The default is to show IE7 Exployer in a "normal" window which is less
than full screen. That's mistake one you made.

You neither asked what the OP's screen resolution was nor did you
state yours. Therefore neither your measurment or the OP's has any
meaning since it is relative to resolution. That's mistakes two and
three.
You obviously have NOTHING of value to contribute to this thread.

All you did was likely confuse the OP. You offered no help on how to
turn options off or on from IE7's tool bar. You didn't say how the
window IE7 appears in could be resized or changed to default to open
full screen. In fact all you did is what you always do; toot your own
horn then wait for applause.

The sooner Microsoft gets rid of the useless MVP program and sends the
prima donna squad packing the better off all Microsoft customers
looking for help in these groups would be.
