Microsoft braces for crucial TV test

After years of finding only static, Microsoft is hoping that its TV
software effort is starting to get a decent reception.

The software maker has spent years working on the software and
invested billions of dollars in cable companies, but has seen only
modest returns. Now, thanks to a deal with Comcast, the largest cable
TV provider in the United States, Microsoft hopes its fortunes are
changing. On Monday, the two companies are expected to announce
details about how their efforts are proceeding at a press conference
on Microsoft's campus in Redmond, Wash.

"This is hugely important to the future of Microsoft TV," Forrester
Research analyst Josh Bernoff said, commenting on Microsoft's cable
push in general. "If Microsoft TV becomes successful at Comcast, it
will rapidly spread through the rest of the cable industry in the U.S.
If it isn't successful, then they have spent 10 years for nothing."

Hers is how it shows to me:

Thanks, Ron. I see it now; don't know when that started. I'll
try a few experiments to see if I can find the cause.

It does the same thing here (KNode, SuSE 9.1), Bruce. It just started
happening, too.

It's fixed, Bruce. It now looks fine here.

Thanks, Ken. It seems so to me, as well. Removing OE-Quotefix
(which never has worked right on SP2) seems to have done the trick.

You're welcome, Bruce. I use both OE-Quotefix and
Outlook-Quotefix here, with SP2, and don't have any problems with
either that I'm aware of.

Glad you got that fixed. BTW, has OE Quotefix fixed their breaking of
Office's spell check yet?

This guy doesn't show up in any of the Windows MVP lists at www.mvps.org
or the MS communities mvp pages either. Are you sure he's not a fake?

Not really, it still tries to spell-check the quoted material,
regardless of settings.

Well, I can't verify that the individual who posted the spam is
the real José Manuel Tella Llop, an MVP from Spain, but there is an
MVP of that name listed on Microsoft's site:

I find him in the Official list at mvp.support.microsoft.com and click
on the MVP Awardees in the left side. Under Windows Shell/User
