microsoft beta spyware

I have been trying to install microsoft beta spyware
detection but after validation, it always takes me back
to security updates which I have already installed. It
does not allow the install of microsoft beta
spyware...any ideas why

Try this, provided here on the newsgroups, manual update procedure:


"Right click on MSAS icon within systray and choose shutdown.

Right click and "Save target as..."

http://download.spynet.com/ASDefinitions/gcThreatAuditThreatData.gcd

Copy/paste these files to Program files/Microsoft Antispyware

Restart MSAS and "check for updates"

Done until MS realize that this is a bug.............."
