K

karen

does anyone else experience this problem, and how to fix
it? I have my MS AntiSpyware Beta 1 program open. I
want updates to it. I open File. I ask for updates. It
will not detect the interenet! So no updates get
downloaded. What is amiss and how can i fix it?

Thank you, karen

Usually the problem is that IE is set to work off-line (should be on-line -
can be set in the File menu of IE) or some third party firewall blocking
access for the MSAS to the Internet.

I've been having the same problem. I use DSL and have had no problem
updating definitions until now.

It is not a firewall problem. I run ZA pro and have no other software being
prohibited to access the net.

I think the problem is MSoft's.

Until 2725 I have downloaded all updates now I'm told that I cannot connect
to the internet. Obviously from this message I can and am connected.

Regards,
Werner

How about the IE off-line/on-line settings?
