Microsoft Antispywae breaks MSN toolbar as spyware

P

PCUser32

Running XP pro, sp2
Just installed MSN toolbar
but after scheduled Microsoft Antispyware scan
it no longer works and neither does Internet Explorer
I managed to get IE working gain by un-installing the MSN
toolbar via the add remove control panel
Scan history shows something called 'Shopathome' as being
removed which I assume is necessary for MSN toolbar to
function.

I just find it strange that Microsoft's MSN toolbar is
spyware when Microsoft claims to be fighting against such
software..

anyone else have this experience

Hi

I am running latest MSN toolbar with no problem, it works great, tabs
;)
and maybe your PC was infected before you install MSN toolbar.

Restart in safe mode, press F8 during reboot/start just before Windows
flag screen appears, choose fullscan with MSAS and all options checked.

Restart and reinstall MSN toolbar.
